Ryan Louder art is unique for artistic and also neurological reasons. He is disabled with brain disorder "Narcolepsy" which causes Ryans brain to stay in REM (dream sleep) Awake or asleep. He documents these dreams and hypnagogic hallucinations in his paintings. "I am not a painter of dreams, I paint while awake dreaming. I have artistic intention and thats concious, but they are overlayed with many dimensions of hallucinations and dreams that appear on the canvas. I control nothing of these, they appear and I consciously document and shape into the composition" If I had to paraphrase. I live between worlds". Ryan is guided by Neurologists at St Thomas and Guys Hospital and is encouraged to do this as it is a rare ability.
Own a unique work of art as the world is waking up to the artist that never does.
